Using our tailored SKILLS methodology, we explored how the UK could grow its domestic housebuilding workforce following Brexit. We combined literature analysis, national consultations, and evidence sessions to surface workforce challenges and spotlight innovative responses. Our work supported future workforce strategies and long-term collaboration between training providers, government, and the construction industry.

We applied our SKILLS methodology to assess how well TAFEs can support workforce and training needs for the AUKUS submarine program. Through a national scan, stakeholder engagement, and in-depth analysis, we identified current gaps, emerging capabilities, and opportunities for system-wide improvement. We delivered clear, launch-ready insights to inform government planning and sustain long-term impact in the defence industry training ecosystem.

We supported MEGT to develop a strategic, evidence-based response to the Future Directions Paper on Apprenticeship Support Services. Through targeted stakeholder engagement and a tailored workshop, we helped shape a submission that aligned with industry views and showcased MEGT’s strengths.

Several of our recommendations were reflected in the final policy, contributing to MEGT’s success in securing new regions and programs - demonstrating our impact in policy influence and business growth.
